FarmChief are importers and distributors of cultivation equipment to farmers throughout New Zealand. With a busy team located around the country, the company chose HubSpot to give them the visibility and control they were lacking over their customer data, sales and marketing functions. HubSpot allowed them to transition away from relying on staff to remember who they’d emailed or sent a quote to recently, giving them unprecedented insight into their data, and segmentation and targeting abilities like they’d never seen before.

 

With limited time and resources to implement and learn a new system, FarmChief approached Markezing to help with HubSpot setup and onboarding.

“We have a small team who are time poor, which is one of the reasons we went for HubSpot,” says FarmChief Marketing Manager Cameron Smith. “We wanted something that our team could hit the ground running with quickly, and we knew we needed some help setting everything up, so HubSpot recommended Markezing to us.”

Markezing carried out the initial implementation of the core HubSpot platform for FarmChief, but it soon became apparent they’d need more from the solution, so they opted to add on the Marketing Hub Professional bundle, which Markezing customised to FarmChief’s needs.

 

“Markezing has been able to set up HubSpot in the way we want and respond to the way we work,” says Cameron. He also says he really appreciated the way Markezing kept them fully informed throughout the setup and customization process.

 

“We had clear, open meetings, and they kept us up to date with all the changes they were making so I could go back and reference emails and make sure I was across those changes. That’s really important because I’ll be the one looking after the systems going forward, so knowing how it was set up is really valuable.”

While it can be challenging to implement new software and systems in a workplace, Cameron says Markezing made it easy by not overwhelming them with the full breadth of functionality on offer, and focusing on the parts they needed most.

“They didn’t bite off too much at once. There’s lots to HubSpot that you could delve into, but they took things one at a time and helped us through it,” Cameron says.

Since implementing HubSpot, FarmChief now enjoys total visibility over how people interact with the business. Centralised contact management allows them to easily manage and segment their customer database.
